Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Hope this post finds you all with full bellies and surrounded by those you love!

Thanksgiving has never been on my top list of holidays until today. For some reason, this year I have actually been able to step back and look at my life and all that I am thankful for. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and finally able to enjoy the simple things in life :) Here are a few of the simple and maybe not so simple things I am thankful for this year:

-an amazing year and a half being married to Reagan
-my new niece, Addison, who brings so much joy to my family
-the cold front blowing through as I sit here in my living room watching football
-a job that wears me out, but that I completely LOVE
-God helping me the past few days understand that there is a time and season for everything in my life, and helping me enjoy the season I am in now
-family, and that my grandma isn't giving up her fight against cancer
-Mine and Reagan's house that we have now spent a year in
-Our puppy, Drake...that he isn't barking so much anymore and that we can now snuggle without him trying to eat us (sometimes) :)
-Our church, that I am now seeing it as OUR church and not Reagan's church that he grew up in
-The touchdown Cyrus Gray just scored against Texas! :) Gig'Em Ags!!
-Christmas decorations that I get to pull out of the attic tomorrow!
-My students, who are my kids until I have some of my own, who make me laugh and smile every day, and who help teach me to see people's ABILITIES and not their disability.
-Reagan passing his Competency exam! :)
-Salvation

Hope you all have had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have been able to give thanks for the big and little things in your life!

"Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all He has done." (Col. 2:7b)
